Data Support Engineer in SPAIN

We’re searching for a Data Support Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the daily delivery of data to the business is on time and of sufficient quality. Engineers will take part in several activities including monitoring and restarting of ETL processes, investigating, and resolving incidents, and implementing small changes which could be system enhancements or ad hoc data requests.

Requirements


  • Experience with cloud technologies including dbt Cloud, Fivetran, and Snowflake
  • Competency in Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Proficiency in Git and GitHub Pull Requests
  • General understanding of the overall data ecosystem
  • Highly adaptable, with the ability to thrive in an evolving landscape and rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong documentation skills to ensure clarity and consistency in processes and practices
  • Ability to investigate and troubleshoot complex data transformation processes


Nice to Have


  • Knowledge of Incident Management, Jira & Monitoring/Alerting
  • Practice in working with GitHub Actions, Terraform
  • Skills in AWS cloud services, particularly (e.g., AWS Lambda, S3 and ECS)
  • Familiarity with Azure Logic Apps
  • Understanding of the entertainment or ticketing industry

Responsibilities


  • Maintain, operate, monitor, and enhance data management systems
  • Monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders
  • Ensure data availability and timely for various processes such as machine learning data training, analysis, and Reporting
  • Highlight any concerns with regards to data reliability, efficiency, and quality
  • Handle incidents related to data availability and support other teams in resolving issues
  • Ensure that incidents are resolved quickly, and the root cause analysis is performed and understood to prevent repeat occurrences
  • Support stakeholders by providing ad hoc data extracts to data scientists, ML engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders
  • Aid the team in delivering an outstanding service to their users, making the company more data driven
