About Sorbet

Sorbet is a fintech platform that uses stablecoin infrastructure to process payments. We help money move faster and more reliably than traditional payment rails allow.

About the role

We're looking for a mid-to-senior Web3 full-stack developer to own features end to end, from the user interface down to on-chain interactions.

You'll work across our web app and backend services, and you'll be close to the parts of the product that move real money.

This is a role for someone with strong engineering fundamentals, sharp problem-solving, and the ability to reason clearly about how value moves across different chains.

Our stack

TypeScript across the board, Next.js on the front end, NestJS on the back end, Prisma with Cloud SQL, all running on Google Cloud. We use Privy for wallet and authentication infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Build and ship full-stack features across our Next.js app and NestJS services
• Familiarity with smart contracts across EVM and non-EVM chains: reading state, sending transactions, and handling events

• Work with stablecoin payment flows such as transfers, approvals, and cross-chain support, along with the edge cases that come with moving real value
• Design and maintain data models with Prisma and Cloud SQL
• Own reliability, testing, and correctness in a system where transactions cannot be undone
• Collaborate closely with a small team where your decisions carry real weight

What we're looking for

• Strong full-stack experience with TypeScript, Next.js, and NestJS
• Hands-on experience with smart contracts across EVM and non-EVM chains
• Solid core infrastructure knowledge: how services, databases, networking, and deployments fit together
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP) is a must
• Experience with Prisma and Cloud SQL
• Understanding of Web3 infrastructure services such as QuickNode, Alchemy, or similar RPC and node providers
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to reason through complex, unfamiliar systems
• A working understanding of cross-chain concepts and the differences between EVM and non-EVM chains
• Comfort with Web3 tooling and wallet integration
• A security-conscious mindset and genuine care for testing, since bugs here cost real money
• A startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, moving fast, wearing multiple hats, and taking ownership without waiting to be told
• Ability to work and communicate clearly in a remote team

Preferred

• Familiarity with stablecoin infrastructure and how payments are processed on-chain
• Experience with stablecoins specifically (USDC, USDT) across multiple chains
• Experience with Privy or similar wallet/auth infrastructure
• Ability to read and write smartcontracts. You won't be writing contracts day to day, but understanding them is a real plus
• Mobile app development experience is a plus point
• Prior work on a production application that moves funds on-chain
