We're working with an innovative technology company delivering mission-critical software and infrastructure solutions to UK Government organisations. They are looking for a talented Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team, helping design, deploy and support highly scalable production platforms in secure environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure, Platform or Site Reliability Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working with modern cloud technologies in a fast-paced engineering environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deploy, operate and maintain large-scale production infrastructure.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability and performance.
- Automate operational processes and reduce manual intervention.
- Build and enhance monitoring, alerting and observability solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive long-term improvements.
- Work closely with software engineers and customer-facing technical teams to deliver secure, resilient infrastructure.
- Participate in an on-call rota supporting production environments.

What We're Looking For
- 1-5 years' experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering or DevOps.
- Strong Linux administration skills.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerised environments.
- Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure cloud platforms.
- Scripting or programming experience using Python, Go, Bash or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and infrastructure automation.
- Experience supporting large-scale production systems.
