Senior AI Web Applications Engineer – AI Web Platforms & Intelligent Applications

Location: 100% Remote (Must overlap with North American business hours)

Employment Type: 3-month Contract, extendable on a rolling basis

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior AI Web Applications Engineer to design, build, deploy, and optimize intelligent, high-performance web applications that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs), cloud-native services, and modern web technologies to accelerate our digital marketing and revenue platforms.

This is an engineering-first role focused on building production-grade AI-powered web applications, conversational experiences, intelligent customer tools, and cloud-native services that directly improve customer engagement, lead generation, and digital experiences.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience building modern web applications, integrating AI technologies into production systems, and developing scalable cloud architectures. Experience building Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and integrating enterprise knowledge with AI agents is highly desirable.

Although this is a software engineering role, the ideal candidate should also have experience building applications within Marketing Technology (MarTech), Digital Marketing, Growth Engineering, Revenue Operations (RevOps), or B2B SaaS environments, with a strong understanding of customer journeys, lead generation, marketing automation, and digital engagement platforms.

What You'll Own

As the Senior AI Web Applications Engineer, you will own the design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI-powered web applications and supporting cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

AI Application Development

• Design and develop AI-powered web applications that improve customer engagement and marketing effectiveness.
• Build conversational AI experiences, intelligent assistants, product recommendation engines, ROI calculators, interactive customer workflows, and self-service experiences.
• Develop reusable application components and scalable frontend architecture using modern JavaScript frameworks.

AI & LLM Integration

• Integrate production AI services using AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and other enterprise LLM platforms.
• Design secure API orchestration layers connecting AI services with internal applications.
• Build scalable AI workflows that combine multiple LLM services into seamless customer experiences.

Model Context Protocol (MCP)

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.

Cloud & Backend Engineering

• Develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, and Bedrock.
• Build secure REST APIs and backend services supporting AI-powered applications.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, performance, reliability, and security.

Frontend Engineering

• Develop high-performance, mobile-first web applications using Astro and Contentful.
• Build responsive user interfaces optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Design and optimize AI-powered web applications for exceptional mobile experiences, ensuring fast performance, intuitive navigation, touch-friendly interactions, and seamless responsiveness across all screen sizes.
• Ensure excellent Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) through modern frontend optimization techniques.

Quality Engineering

• Build automated testing frameworks using Playwright.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform end-to-end testing across browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices.
• Continuously improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years building production web applications.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript expertise.
• Strong experience with React, Next.js, or similar modern frontend frameworks.
