About The Role

We are seeking a talented Python Software Systems Engineer to join our dynamic, fully remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, deploying, and maintaining our platform to ensure it remains fast, secure, and highly available. You will collaborate with a small, distributed team of developers and operators to deliver new features, improve system performance, and implement scalable solutions. Your work will directly impact how we deploy our products, enhance system reliability, and streamline our development processes. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, disciplined professional eager to learn and grow within a culture that values collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement. You will have opportunities to explore innovative problem-solving approaches, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the architecture and design of our systems.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment
• Strong programming experience with Python or other high-level programming languages
• Solid scripting skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages
• Commitment to writing robust, testable, and industry-standard code
• Experience with system configuration and administration
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and Agile development methodologies
• Ability to participate in on-call rotations and respond swiftly to system issues
• Desire to learn new technologies and continuously improve technical skills

Nice-to-have Qualifications Include

• Experience in building large-scale or complex multi-tenant web applications
• Knowledge of parallelization, code optimization, and Big Data operations

Responsibilities

• Contribute to code quality through writing unit tests, integration tests, and participating in code reviews
• Design, configure, and administer production services ensuring high availability and security
• Develop and maintain staging, testing, and developer environments to support reliable development workflows
• Automate software lifecycle processes to facilitate Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
• Develop procedures for updating and upgrading systems with minimal downtime
• Participate in on-call rotations, diagnose system failures, and implement quick resolutions to minimize disruptions
• Collaborate with team members to improve system architecture, optimize performance, and implement new features
