With a team of over 350 members, the IRC has established trust and strong community relationships, ensuring access and effective service delivery.

Job Overview
The People & Culture (HR) Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the People & Culture Department in Hassaka location, ensuring efficient implementation of HR processes and compliance with IRC policies and procedures. The role focuses on personnel administration, employee records management, payroll support, employee relations, and P&C reporting, while providing limited administrative support to recruitment activities as required. Under the direct supervision of the P&C Officer and indirectly the Snr.field manager in Raqqa.
Responsibilities
P&C Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files in both electronic and hard-copy formats.
- Prepare and process P&C documentation, including contracts, amendments, personnel action forms, leave requests, and employee correspondence.
- Ensure all personnel records are maintained in compliance with IRC standard requirements.
- Monitor contract end dates and support contract renewal processes.
- Maintain HR databases and employee information systems.
- Provide administrative support to the recruitment team throughout the recruitment process.
- Schedule interviews, assessments, and recruitment-related meetings as requested.
- Support the organization and filing of recruitment documentation and records.
- Assist with onboarding documentation and coordination for newly hired employees.
- Maintain confidentiality of candidate information and recruitment records.
- Collect, review, verify attendance records, leave requests, and timesheets.
- Support monthly payroll preparation by ensuring accurate employee data is submitted on time.
- Monitor leave balances and attendance records.
- Coordinate with Finance and department managers regarding employee attendance and payroll-related documentation.
- Serve as a focal point for routine employee inquiries regarding P&C policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and staff welfare activities.
- Assist in addressing employee concerns and refer complex issues to the P&C Manager/P&C Lead.

- Coordinate logistics for training sessions, workshops, and staff development activities.

Education

- Knowledge of Syrian labor law regulations and HR practices is an advantage.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
