Job Summary

As an Analyst specializing in mobile analytics, you will lead the charge in unlocking deep insights into user behavior, engagement, and retention for mobile apps and games. Your expertise will guide our strategies for user acquisition, optimization, and loyalty across the Apple App Store and Google Play Store platforms. By collaborating with product managers, marketing teams, user acquisition specialists, ASO experts and BI colleagues, your analysis will shape the future of our mobile product offerings, driving growth and enhancing user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, process, and analyze data from a variety of sources, including mobile analytics, user feedback, and market trends, to generate actionable insights
  • Perform comprehensive analysis of key mobile app performance metrics, such as user acquisition, retention, engagement, churn, and conversion
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide clear visualization of insights, enabling stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions
  • Identify trends and patterns within complex datasets using statistical methods to underpin your findings
  • Lead user behavior analysis and optimization efforts to improve app engagement and satisfaction
  • Conduct detailed user segmentation and retention analysis to identify opportunities for growth and loyalty
  • Map user journeys to gain a better understanding of the user experience, optimizing conversion funnels and reducing churn
  • Segment users into behavior-based groups, analyzing these segments for trends and developing strategies to enhance user engagement and loyalty
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, formulate hypotheses, and conduct rigorous analyses to validate those hypotheses
  • Present insights and strategic recommendations to improve mobile app production, ASO, and marketing efforts in an easily understandable format, utilizing visuals
  • Advocate for and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization
  • Evaluate the impact of product changes post-implementation, ensuring objectives are met and capturing learnings for future initiatives
  • Stay updated on industry trends, analytics tools, and best practices to continuously advance our analytics capabilities

Qualifications and Experience

Must have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, with a strong preference for experience in the mobile apps, social games, or eCommerce industry
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python) and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining techniques
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • A passion for mobile gaming and a deep understanding of mobile gaming KPIs and metrics
  • Advanced MS Excel/PowerPoint skills
  • English (upper intermediate or above)

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with Apple's SKAdNetwork (SKAN) and Google's Privacy Sandbox, especially their implications for user privacy and ad tracking
  • Experience with mobile measurement, attribution, and marketing analytics platforms
  • References from previous employers
