2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Data Analyst will step into a highly critical, cross-functional role designed to serve as the structural bridge between core software engineering, telemetry analytics, and executive studio strategy. This position is responsible for driving data-informed game design, converting complex player behavioral telemetry into actionable insights that directly influence real-time game systems, monetization models, and long-term business decisions. Serving as the primary steward of the studio's data ecosystem, this role ensures that data acquisition infrastructure and advanced analytical modeling align perfectly with overarching game launch milestones and organizational growth goals.

3. Responsibilities:

• Take complete operational ownership of the end-to-end data lifecycle, managing everything from initial game event instrumentation and telemetry collection to final executive-level presentation

• Partner closely with multidisciplinary game departments and senior studio leadership to architect predictive data collection protocols and long-term analysis strategies

• Define, model, and track core player performance indicators (KPIs)—specifically targeting player engagement, long-term retention curves, and churn predictive modeling—and build the data systems to capture them

• Architect and maintain robust database schemas, continuously optimizing query performance, execution plans, and overall data warehouse health

• Develop, scale, and maintain performant ETL/ELT data pipelines and the underlying infrastructure required to handle high-velocity telemetry streams

• Automate operational reporting workflows and build intuitive, interactive visualization dashboards tailored precisely for diverse technical and creative game teams

• Play and engage with the studio's game titles directly to gain deep contextual familiarity, blending personal gameplay experience with quantitative analysis to inform design recommendations

4. Requirements:

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive, professional experience in data analysis, analytics engineering, or business intelligence (preferably within the gaming, mobile apps, or high-transaction consumer entertainment sectors)

• Expert-level proficiency in SQL, demonstrating advanced capabilities in complex querying, scalable schema design, indexed views, and query execution performance tuning

• Strong programming skills in languages critical to backend automation and quantitative analysis, with specialized mastery in Python, R, or Java

• Proven history designing, building, orchestrating, and troubleshooting complex ETL processes across modern data warehouses

• Solid mathematical foundations and a deep understanding of statistical modeling techniques, including regression analysis, A/B testing, hypothesis validation, and predictive forecasting algorithms

• Exceptional communication and narrative skills, with a proven ability to translate complex technical metrics, statistical margins, and data anomalies clearly to creative directors and non-technical stakeholders

• Highly self-motivated, mission-driven mindset characterized by the ability to manage competing project priorities independently across cross-functional studio teams

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Target baseline salary framework: $100,000 to $140,000 USD annually

• Final base salary placement within this competitive tier is calibrated dynamically based upon the candidate's core analytics depth, engineering capabilities, geographic location, and specialized database proficiencies
