Job Description
Tech Pipeline helps operations teams resolve friction in their daily workflows. We focus on fixing the broken middle of business processes by looking at the actual data and routing rules. As an AI Quality Control Assistant, you will help us ensure that the automated systems we implement for our clients remain accurate and reliable over time.
About the role
Many companies integrate AI tools into their workflows only to find that the outputs eventually drift or that the logic fails in unexpected ways. In this role, you will be part of the team that monitors these systems. You will look at the source of truth for our clients and compare it against what the AI is producing. This is a fully remote, part-time contract position designed for someone who enjoys spotting patterns and identifying where a process is starting to break. You will not be building abstract models. Instead, you will be in the system checking that the routing rules are being followed and that the data being moved is clean and usable.
What you will be doing
- Reviewing AI-generated logs to verify that the information matches the original source documents.
- Identifying recurring errors in automated data entry and documenting the specific conditions that caused the failure.
- Updating existing standard operating procedures when a routing rule or integration process changes.
- Performing manual reconciliations of data between different systems to catch discrepancies before they reach the finance team.
- Labeling training data for specific client projects to improve the accuracy of local automation tools.
- Testing new workflow updates in a staging environment to ensure they do not introduce new friction into the process.
- Providing weekly reports on error rates and common sticking points within a client tech stack.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot subtle differences between large sets of data.
- Clear and concise writing skills for technical documentation and internal updates.
- Basic familiarity with spreadsheets and how to organize information logically.
- A methodical approach to problem solving and a preference for direct evidence over assumptions.
- Comfort working independently in a fully remote environment without constant supervision.
- Reliable access to a computer and high-speed internet to manage various cloud-based tools.
- Willingness to learn the technical specifics of different client databases and internal software.

We do not spend our time in long meetings or preparing high-level slide decks. Our communication is structured around weekly updates and clear, written documentation. We value people who can open a system, read the logs, and explain exactly why a piece of data is stuck. At Tech Pipeline, the goal is to leave a system better than we found it, ensuring the client team can manage it independently. Since we are a remote company, we rely on being explicit in our writing and staying close to the technical reality of how the work moves. We prefer looking at the ground truth of a process rather than talking about broad strategy.
