Northrop Grumman is seeking a Test Engineering Manager 3. This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama.

What You’ll Get To Do
The ideal candidate will provide objective-oriented direction utilizing management guidelines, general policies and maintain a strong level of engagement, while dynamically leading, inspiring, motivating and developing a team of professionals.
Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage multiple flight-test campaign teams of flight-test engineers, providing direction, mentorship, and performance oversight.
- Develop, review, and approve detailed test plans, procedures, and acceptance-test criteria for system-level and flight tests.
- Oversee execution of test operations, including test conduct, data collection, analysis, and post-test reporting.
- Coordinate integration of test telemetry, range-safety, and system-safety requirements, ensuring compliance with program and regulatory standards.
- Manage control-account activities, including statement-of-work mapping, metrics collection, cost and schedule tracking, and reporting to senior leadership.
- Conduct technical risk assessments and supportability analyses, contributing to system integration, verification, validation, and overall program risk reduction.
- Ensure configuration management of test documentation, designs, and test assets throughout the technology-maturation phase.
- Prepare and deliver technical briefings, reports, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including customers and cross-functional teams.
- Liaise with customers, range partners, and cross-disciplinary IPTs to synchronize test schedules, resources, and objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying alternative test methods, process enhancements, and lessons learned to improve program performance.

- Bachelors degree with 8 years of related work experience: or Masters and 6 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
- Minimum 5 years of test engineering experience, including development of test plans, procedures, and reporting, with at least 2 flight-test experiences.
- Demonstrated leadership of teams of 10+ personnel and project-management responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical performance.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
