NFL: Network Security Administrator - Level 2

Great opportunity to join one of our many NFL Technology Teams!!

This is a REMOTE, Full-time position, including access to benefits and 401k plus match.


Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Network Security Administrator to assist in the management, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise firewall and network security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and firewall technologies, along with a desire to grow their cybersecurity and network security skills in a hands-on environment.


Core Responsibilities

· Provide NFL Game Day monitoring, support and troubleshooting of NFL firewall devices.

· Collaborate with network, server, and cybersecurity teams to troubleshoot application related issues.

· Analyze firewall logs and security events to identify potential issues, threats or policy violations.

· Participate in Enterprise firewall policy reviews and cleanup/optimization activities.

· Maintain accurate documentation of firewall configurations, network diagrams, and change records.

· Review, implement, and document firewall rule changes according to established procedures.

· Respond to incidents and service requests related to firewall operations.

· Follow change management processes and security best practices.


Required Qualifications

· MUST HAVE Experience with Palo Alto Next Generation firewalls and Panorama.

· Associates or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.

· Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, DNS/DHCP, and BGP technologies.

· Familiarity with firewall concepts such as security zones, security policies, NAT, policy-based forwarding and threat prevention.

· Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Cisco Meraki MX security devices, Zscaler and/or Prisma Access is a plus.

· Ability to interpret packet captures with tools like Wireshark.

· Familiarity with SIEM and log analysis tools.

· Knowledge of cloud networking and security concepts.

· Basic scripting experience with Python and/or PowerShell.

· Relevant certifications such as:

o Palo Alto Networks Certifications (PSNSA, PSNSE)

o Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Work Schedule

· Expected 40hr work week.
