About SOLIDO

SOLIDO is an early-stage fintech building modern cross-border financial infrastructure for people who live, work, and move between countries. We are starting with remittances, digital wallets, and cross-border money movement between North America and Latin America.

Millions of people across Latin America depend on money that crosses a border — and they still move it through channels that are slow, expensive, and opaque. We are building the infrastructure that fixes that, starting with the corridors we know best. We are currently building the product, validating demand, preparing for fundraising, and assembling the founding technical team.

The Opportunity

This is not a corporate CTO seat. There is no big team to inherit, no committee to hide behind, and no legacy platform to babysit. This is a zero-to-one builder role: you will design the architecture, write the first production code, choose the rails, and shape the company's technical DNA from day one.

We are deliberately hiring in Latin America — not as an outsourcing decision, but because this product is for Latin America. We want a technical leader who has lived the problem we are solving: who knows what it means to send money home, to navigate two banking systems, and to build world-class technology from the region.

Depending on your seniority and fit, this role can take the shape of Founding CTO, Technical Co-Founder, Head of Engineering LATAM, or Founding Engineer — with responsibility and equity to match.

What You'll Do

• Own SOLIDO's technical architecture and infrastructure end to end
• Build our fintech core: wallet, remittance, and payments systems
• Evaluate traditional payment rails vs blockchain/stablecoin rails — and decide what we use, where, and why
• Design secure, scalable, compliant money-movement systems
• Integrate KYC/AML, banking, payout, wallet, payment, and compliance providers

• Recruit and lead the first engineering team
• Work directly with the founder on product, strategy, fundraising, and investor conversations
• Stay hands-on: in this stage, the CTO ships code

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience in fintech, payments, crypto/blockchain, wallets, or financial infrastructure
• You have built products from zero to one — and can prove it
• Strong software architecture background: backend, APIs, cloud, security, scalability
• Startup mentality: speed, ownership, comfort with ambiguity and limited resources
• Hands-on technical ability — you still build, not just direct
• Compliance/KYC/AML knowledge is a plus
• Stablecoins, blockchain settlement, custody, DeFi, or crypto payments experience is a strong plus
• Strong English (required); Spanish strongly preferred, ideally native/fluent; Portuguese a plus
• Available to work North America time zones
• Able to travel internationally (US/Canada) when needed

Compensation will depend on experience, commitment level, and stage fit. The package may include:

Education

We care more about what you have built than where you studied. Formal education is valued, but proven execution, technical depth, integrity, and startup mentality matter more.
