We're seeking an experienced Interim Global Payroll Manager to join a mid-sized technology company undergoing significant organizational change. This is a fully remote, contract opportunity with an urgent start.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on payroll position supporting a company navigating system integrations and a corporate transaction. You'll take ownership of day-to-day global payroll operations while others focus on a major system integration project.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee and review/approve work for a distributed team of ~5 payroll professionals
- Manage day-to-day global payroll operations and reporting
- Apply strong process expertise to jump in quickly with minimal onboarding or hand-holding
- Support ongoing payroll system implementation efforts
- Operate effectively in a dynamic, sometimes fast-changing environment involving active organizational transition
- Collaborate cross-functionally and stay highly engaged in implementation-related meetings

What We're Looking For:
- Significant experience in global payroll management (U.S. + EMEA + APAC required)
- Prior experience managing or reviewing work of a multi-region payroll team
- Comfortable operating independently at a senior/heavy manager level — this is not an entry-level or junior manager role
- Strong knowledge of payroll best practices and ability to identify/improve processes
- Experience with payroll system migrations or implementations strongly preferred
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Highly responsive, proactive, and collaborative work style
