Senior .NET and JavaScript Team Lead

Aviron Software is a boutique, fully-remote AI-focused software consultancy headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. We build high-quality modern cloud applications and intelligent systems for B2B clients, helping their teams work smarter and their businesses operate more efficiently.

We’re seeking a Team Lead with strong .NET and JavaScript experience to lead delivery across client projects while mentoring developers and shaping technical direction. This is a hands-on leadership role - you’ll still be writing code, but you’ll also be guiding architecture decisions, reviewing PRs, refining requirements, and helping your team move faster through smart use of modern AI tools.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, client collaboration, and raising the bar for engineering quality - without the bureaucracy of a large enterprise.

What You'll Do

●     Lead technical delivery across one or more client projects.

●     Write production-quality code in .NET (C#) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript applications.

●     Architect scalable, maintainable cloud-based systems.

●     Guide and mentor developers through PR reviews, pairing, and technical feedback.

●     Translate business requirements into clean technical solutions.

●     Work directly with clients to clarify scope, manage trade-offs, and ensure alignment.

●     Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate development workflows.

●     Help define internal best practices around AI-assisted development, testing, and documentation.

●     Support estimation, planning, and prioritization efforts.

This is a “player-coach” role - you’ll lead by example.

What We're Looking

●     Strong proficiency in .NET (C#), JavaScript, and TypeScript.

●     Experience designing and building full-stack web applications.

●     Deep understanding of SQL and database design.

●     Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).

●     Experience building and deploying applications in Azure or AWS.

●     Demonstrated ability to lead projects or small teams.

●     Experience reviewing code and mentoring developers.

●     Strong communication skills - comfortable interacting directly with clients.

●     Hands-on experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.) in your daily workflow.

●     Ability to identify where AI adds leverage - and where it doesn’t.

●     Pragmatic mindset: You care about shipping value, not just elegant architecture.

Awesome, But Not Required

●     Experience building AI-integrated systems (RAG, embeddings, AI agents, etc.).

●     Experience productionizing AI systems at scale.

●     Experience with React, Next.js, or similar modern frontend frameworks is preferred. 

●     Python experience.

●     Consulting experience in a client-facing environment.
