Audubon is currently seeking a IT Network Analyst II to join our team in the Houston, TX Office. This role will report to the IT Network Infrastructure Manager supporting a broad and dynamic network environment—including multiple U.S. sites, international offices, and significant Azure cloud presence. Will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance of our enterprise network infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure high availability, robust security, and optimal performance across all locations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to and resolve escalated network-related incidents and service requests from Level 1 and the Service Desk.
- Proactively monitor, analyze, and report on network performance and availability using leading tools (e.g., OpManager, FortiAnalyzer, OpsRamp).
- Perform advanced maintenance, firmware upgrades, and patch management on all network devices: Fortinet firewalls, NAC appliances, SD-WAN devices, layer 2/3 switches, wireless access points, and supporting hardware.
- Configure and optimize LAN/WAN, VPNs, VLANs, SD-WAN, and other network services to ensure seamless connectivity for all offices and remote workers.
- Support and implement new networking solutions, including cloud networking in Azure, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our network design and security posture.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date network documentation, including topology diagrams, configuration standards, and inventory records.
- Assist in designing, reviewing, and applying network security measures: firewall rule changes, ACLs, segmentation, and regular monitoring for suspicious activity or vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and project teams for troubleshooting, new deployments, and escalated support.
- Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and regular testing of network resilience.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Level 1 IT staff; assist in staff cross-training as needed.
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotation (approximately bi-weekly); respond to after-hours and weekend support escalations when required.
- Travel to branch sites (U.S. and occasional international) for project deployments, troubleshooting, and support—approximately 15% of the time.
