About The Role
Sentara is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join its dynamic team. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, focusing on automation, scalability, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and supporting Azure cloud environments, leveraging infrastructure-as-code principles using Terraform. The role involves building and managing Kubernetes (AKS) clusters, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating closely with development teams to foster a self-service infrastructure model. The DevOps Engineer will be instrumental in applying best practices to streamline deployment processes, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and contribute to platform standardization efforts. This position is integral to accelerating cloud adoption, improving system reliability, and enabling developer productivity through automation and innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure
- Proven expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
- Hands-on experience with GitHub, including source control, workflows, and CI/CD integration
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes (AKS) environments
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices, automation principles, and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to incorporate GenAI capabilities to enhance productivity, code quality, and operational efficiency
- Experience working with Application Release Orchestration tools (e.g., Massdriver, Redhat, GitLab, Harness)
- Independence and decision-making skills in ambiguous environments
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Educational requirement: 3+ years of relevant experience with a degree or 5+ years of relevant experience without a degree
- Relevant experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation (typically 5+ years)

- Design, develop, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform with an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach
