Job Description
We are bringing on a new Junior React Developer to help us support a major French logistics firm. This is a chance to move beyond tutorials and work on front-facing tools that help a real transportation business manage its daily operations. You will be helping us build the dashboards and internal interfaces that their staff uses to track shipments, manage warehouse space, and keep things moving. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will work directly with our senior developers on real-world software problems.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency that builds the tools teams actually use. We do not do flashy consumer apps, social media clones, or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical stuff: admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that people usually try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to communicate with each other.
We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes before we start, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything: the code, the documentation, and even walkthrough videos when we are finished. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain. We are a senior team of developers and designers who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends.
The role
In this role, you will be focused on building out the user interface for internal logistics tools. This is a fully remote position where you will spend most of your time in React, turning design wireframes into functional components. You will not just be making things look good: you will be making sure they work correctly when a user enters thousands of lines of data or needs to filter through complex shipping logs.
A typical day might involve building a new data table for tracking vehicle maintenance or creating a form that helps warehouse managers log inventory. You will be connecting these frontend components to the APIs our backend developers provide. Sometimes the work involves cleaning up older code or fixing a bug in an existing dashboard. We do not expect you to know everything on day one, but we expect you to be curious and willing to learn how these business systems fit together.
What we need from you
- Basic familiarity with React and its core concepts like components, props, and hooks.
- A good grasp of HTML and CSS: you should be able to build a layout and make it responsive without relying entirely on a framework.
- The ability to write clear, readable JavaScript. We care more about code that is easy for the next person to understand than code that is clever.
- An organized approach to your work. Since we are a fully remote team, you need to be able to manage your time and communicate clearly in writing.
- A mindset that appreciates "boring but useful" software. You should be happy building a really good admin panel that saves a logistics clerk hours of work.
- Willingness to take feedback during code reviews and apply what you learn to the next task.
- Basic knowledge of how to use Git for version control.

While this is an entry-level position, it helps if you have experimented with a few other tools. None of these are strict requirements, but they will make your first few weeks easier:
- Experience calling APIs or using tools like Postman to see how data moves between systems.
- Familiarity with TypeScript or a strong interest in learning it.
- Basic understanding of how databases work (SQL or Postgres).
- Previous projects, even personal ones or boot camp projects, where you built a functional application from scratch.
- Familiarity with GitHub and how to open pull requests.
- Some experience with Node.js or backend logic.

Working here is different from working at a giant corporation or a high-pressure startup. We are a small, flat team with no middle management layers. You will work directly with the founders and senior engineers who are actually writing the code. We offer a fully remote environment that respects your time: we do not have unnecessary meetings, and we do not expect you to be online at all hours.
We provide a paid position with a salary that is competitive for the entry-level market. You will get to work on projects that have a direct impact on how businesses run. When we finish a project for the logistics firm, you will see your work being used by warehouse managers and logistics coordinators to get their jobs done more efficiently. We value stability, clear communication, and getting the job done right the first time.
Our culture is built on mutual respect and a shared desire to build high-quality software without the usual tech-world drama. We do not chase every new library that appears on Twitter: we stick to what works so we can ship reliable tools to our clients. If you enjoy solving puzzles and want to learn how professional software is built and maintained in a remote setting, you will find a good home here.
