Junior React Developer

We are currently supporting a global logistics client that needs to modernize its financial reporting and operational dashboards. This project involves cleaning up legacy data structures and presenting them through a clean, reliable interface. We are looking for a Junior React Developer to join our team in a full time, permanent capacity to assist with this work. This is a fully remote role, allowing you to work from your own environment while collaborating with a distributed team of senior consultants.

The role
In this position, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the user interface components of the custom reporting tools we develop for our clients. For the global logistics project, this means creating dashboards that track complex shipment data against financial targets. You will work closely with our senior consultants to turn technical requirements into functional React components that are easy to use and maintain. A significant part of the work involves ensuring that the data displayed is accurate and that the interface remains performant even when handling large datasets.
Documentation is a core part of how we work at Alpine Business Consulting. You will be expected to write clear, concise guides for the code you produce. This ensures that when we eventually hand over the system to the client, their internal team has everything they need to remain independent. You will participate in code reviews and configuration sessions, learning how to structure applications for long term stability rather than just short term fixes. Because we work remotely, you will use digital communication tools to stay in sync with the team throughout the day.

What we need from you
This is an entry level role, so we do not require years of professional software engineering history. We are looking for evidence that you have a solid grasp of the basics and a willingness to learn how enterprise systems operate. The following points represent the foundations we are looking for:

• Basic proficiency with React and modern JavaScript. You should understand components, hooks, and how to manage application state without making the code overly complex.
