About The Position
Virtuos France is actively looking for Programmers to work on various engine features implementation, optimizations and cutting-edge technologies for PC and consoles.
Responsibilities
- Write code that fulfills the functional and technical requirements of the projects.
- Understand, develop and optimize the code of engine subsystems.
- Deliver a clean, commented and structured code.
- Write technical documentation for other programmers.
- Write end user documentation for designers and artists.
- Work on various game engines and adapt to existing code bases.
- Identify technical obstacles and propose related solutions.
- Integrate assets when necessary (characters, environments, props, animations, cut-scenes, UIs, sounds, special effects, etc.).
- Report your work-in-progress to your lead, notify problems and deliver results on time.
- Follow your lead programmer instructions and advices.
Qualifications
- French and English both written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of C/C++.
- Good knowledge of math applied to 3D.
- Experience with real-time interactive application programming.
- Experience with balancing performance and maintainability.
- Ability to fearlessly jump into large, existing code bases.
- Ability to contribute original ideas towards game production and development.
- Good communication skills.
- Autonomous and proactive attitude.
- Team player attitude!
Nice To Have Qualifications
- 1 year of professional programming in video game industry or any other domain related to real time application.
- Experience with C++ programming in Unreal Engine 4.
- Credited with one game launch in programming role.
