Carbon60 are working alongside the UK's busiest airport, who are looking for an experienced Oracle Data Warehouse Developer to join their Business Intelligence (BI) team.



Job Specifics

  • Job Type: Permanent (full-time).
  • Salary: £49,500 + benefits + OTE annual bonus of up to 20%.
  • Office Location: Paisley, Glasgow.
  • Working Flex: Ideally, once per week in the office, but will accept fully remote.



Overview

This is an exciting role which will use the latest technologies in a brand-new implementation of Fusion Data Intelligence. The airport has recently undergone a major implementation of cloud-based Fusion ERP and HCM systems, and is now beginning the implementation of advanced analytics and reporting using Fusion Data Intelligence and Oracle Cloud Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) database.


This is a greenfield project where they are implementing the latest Oracle cloud tools and technology to utilise cutting edge BI techniques, including advanced data warehousing, analytics, and machine learning (ML). You will be be an integral part of building and shaping the future analytics and reporting ecosystem within the airport.


They are looking for a strong, self-starting data warehouse developer with a good track record of understanding both functional and technical requirements, along with a strong technical knowledge of data warehousing techniques, SQL, data integrations, and data analytics tools. Ideally, you will also have Oracle Fusion reporting experience in either ERP and/or HCM.



Main Accountabilities

  • Problem solving ability to turn both business and technical challenges into solutions.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing techniques such as star schema etc.
  • Knowledge of loading and transforming data from outside sources into the data warehouse.
  • Experience of working with Oracle databases at the SQL level.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse tuning.
  • Team player who interacts well with other team members and pro-actively brings ideas and solutions to the team.
  • Own the data warehouse and integrations aspects, but also get involved in the analytics side.
  • Proficient at examining legacy code artefacts and suggesting better ways of working.



Requirements

  • Strong track record of delivery within data warehouse and analytics projects using Oracle toolsets.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehouse techniques on Oracle Cloud database environments.
  • Strong SQL experience in maintaining integrations (ideally ODI or OIC).
  • Ideally, experience in using OBIEE, BI Publisher, and OAC.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills and be able to build relationships quickly with team members and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in an environment of competing priorities, balancing risk, and challenging deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Fusion and/or Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) within ERP and/or HCM would be a distinct advantage.
  • Any knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud, Smart View, Essbase or Narrative Reporting would be an advantage, but not essential.
