The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the C-Suite Executive Team, responsible for overseeing theorganization’s daily operations and procedures. The COO will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operationsof Giannis Group, ensuring operational excellence, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance our services and profitability. The COO will be the company’s second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of the business. This role involves managing various departments, setting, and executing comprehensive goals for performance and growth, and establishing policies that promote company culture and vision. Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of all Giannis Group properties and services.
• Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.).
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
• Develop and implement operational business strategies, plans, and procedures to improve efficiency, quality, and guest satisfaction.
• Evaluate business performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
• Ensure compliance with all local regulations and industry standards.
Strategic Planning:
• Collaborate with the CEO and C-Suite Executive Team to develop and execute operational strategies and organization goals.
• Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth, helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning.
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of the company's internal and external processes and recommend and implement necessary improvements.
• Lead the implementation of new technologies and processes to enhance operational performance.
Financial Management:
• Develop and manage financial operations including annual operational budget, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures.
• Analyze financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Develop and implement effective financial strategies and policies.
• Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations.
Leadership and Team Development:
• Foster a growth-oriented, positive, and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Develop and execute plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
• Mentor and develop a team of leaders to manage critical business functions.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
• Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Enhance the company’s public profile and strengthen community relations.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as Chief Operating Officer or relevant role with 8+ years of continuous experience.
• Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
• Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office Suite
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or relevant equivalent degree is preferred.
• Required bilingual in English and Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication skills
(proficiency in Italian and/or Portuguese a plus)
