About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Angular Developer to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This role is integral to supporting the VA T4NG Consolidated Corporate Support Services (CCSS) program, which serves the Department of Veterans Affairs across the United States. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with AngularJS and SQL, along with a strong background in software development, system analysis, and application modernization. As a Senior Angular Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and services that meet the specific needs of our clients, ensuring compliance with software standards and best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance the VA’s operational capabilities and improve user experience.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 5-8 years of relevant experience. At minimum, candidates should have 18 months of hands-on experience with Angular, with a preference for those with at least two years of experience using Angular 2 or higher. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (version 5.x), TypeScript (version 4.x), Bootstrap (version 5.x), and JQuery (version 3.6.x) is required. Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server, including writing stored procedures, understanding SQL queries, creating tables, and managing databases, is essential. Experience with Visual Studio (2019-2022), Git, Windows, and Azure cloud services is also necessary. Familiarity with C# programming, API integration, CI/CD pipelines, PowerBI, IIS, SSRS, and experience supporting government programs, especially within the VA, are considered advantageous. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include planning and executing system development deployments while ensuring adherence to software compliance standards. You will design graphical user interfaces tailored to user needs, prepare operational instructions, and compile comprehensive documentation of development activities. Analyzing system capabilities and resolving program-related questions related to output requirements, input data acquisition, and programming techniques will be part of your daily tasks. You will build and upgrade add-on modules using application programming languages and provide guidance on AngularJS modernization efforts.
You will design, develop, and test new features for VA applications, ensuring robust functionality and user satisfaction. Regular communication with colleagues involved in all development phases is crucial for project success. Troubleshooting bugs, performing analysis, and implementing fixes will be routine responsibilities. You will also oversee the design and implementation of software projects using C# and Angular frameworks, ensuring that all software standards are met. Your expertise will be vital in providing technical solutions to moderate complexity problems, contributing to milestone achievements, and supporting the overall project lifecycle.
