Title: Senior Network Automation Engineer
Compensation: $190,000–$220,000 Base + $40,000–$80,000 Annual Bonus

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Automation Engineer who is equally comfortable writing clean, production-grade Python as they are designing and troubleshooting complex routing environments. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who has built scalable automation platforms for large-scale infrastructure and understands modern data center networking from both a software and networking perspective.
You'll work alongside Network Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Security teams to automate provisioning, simplify operations, and build self-service networking capabilities that support global infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical role with significant ownership, from architecture through production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain network automation frameworks for provisioning and lifecycle management across global infrastructure.
- Build scalable automation solutions using Python and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Develop tooling with Python, Ansible, Terraform, and Jinja2.
- Design and build APIs that expose networking capabilities through self-service platforms.
- Integrate network automation into CI/CD pipelines for repeatable, testable deployments.
- Implement monitoring, telemetry, and observability solutions to improve network health and reliability.
- Partner with Network, Platform, and Security Engineering teams on scalable infrastructure initiatives.
- Lead technical design discussions and influence long-term automation architecture.
- Own projects from design through implementation and production support.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, incident response, and root cause analysis.

- Strong background spanning both software engineering and network engineering.
- Expert-level Python programming skills with solid software engineering fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with relational, NoSQL, or graph databases.
