About The Role
As a Junior Mobile Developer at KwadRise you will help craft cross-platform experiences that power finance, health, and commerce solutions across Africa. You will pair with senior engineers, learn our delivery playbook, and ship iterative improvements that keep our apps delightful and reliable.
Your day-to-day
- Implement new product features in React Native using TypeScript and our shared component kit.
- Debug and improve performance for existing Android and iOS builds, coordinating with QA for releases.
- Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs provided by our backend teams, monitoring for regressions.
- Contribute to automated tests (unit, component, E2E) and our Expo/EAS deployment workflows.
- Document implementation decisions so product, design, and delivery teams stay aligned.
- Participate in stand-ups, demos, and retros to keep delivery fast and transparent.

- 1+ years of experience building mobile apps with React Native or strong React skills and mobile exposure.
- Solid grasp of JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals, async patterns, and state management (React Query/Zustand/etc.).
- Experience consuming REST APIs and handling authentication, caching, and error states.
- Working knowledge of Git, code reviews, and CI pipelines.
- Comfort collaborating with designers, PMs, and QA in a distributed team.
- Clear written and spoken English or French with the willingness to communicate proactively.
- Exposure to Expo, EAS, or native modules (Swift/Kotlin).
- Understanding of mobile analytics, push notifications, and OTA updates.
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and localization.
