To support our rapidly expanding business, we are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised and proactive Project Support Officer with demonstrated experience in project delivery. Reporting to the Program Manager, this role will support the delivery of project activities, including coordination, reporting, procurement and administration.

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. This is a permanent position based in Fyshwick, Canberra. ADT may consider supporting relocation within Australia for the right candidate.

Candidates must have the right to live and work in Australia. Applicants must hold an NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support across projects, programs, management activities and executive leadership requirements.
  • Assist with the establishment, maintenance and control of project delivery artefacts, including schedules, risk registers, plans and reports.
  • Support project procurement activities, including requirements capture, supplier sourcing, quote coordination and purchase order management.
  • Assist the Program Manager with project planning, execution, monitoring and closeout to support delivery against agreed deadlines and budgets.
  • Provide secretariat support for project meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, action tracking and follow-up.

The Person

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring a combination of the following experience, skills and attributes.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a project-based role.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and project delivery practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience creating, maintaining and updating project documentation, including schedules, reports and supporting artefacts.
  • Strong initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work independently to identify and resolve issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Technical writing or proposal experience, including the development of supporting material, would be highly regarded.
  • Experience with procurement practices, including quotations, supplier coordination and purchase orders.
  • Experience working in Defence and/or Government environments would be highly regarded.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Project. Experience with D365, including Project Operations, would be an advantage.
