Azure Infrastructure Engineer
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Benefits
Location: Fully Remote (UK)
Clearance Required: SC Clearance (*applicants need to at least be eligible)
This is a great opportunity for a specialist in Azure to work with a leading Microsoft Gold Partner. They specialise in delivering cutting-edge solutions to high-profile government, banking and defence sector clients. Their team is at the forefront of digital transformation, providing secure and innovative cloud infrastructure solutions.
It’s a newly created role where you will be working alongside their DevOps team on cloud infrastructure projects. As a business they have a great working culture, pride themselves on team collaboration, and also offer fully remote set up with added flexibility around family life and personal commitments. Please note due to the nature of the projects SC Clearance will be required for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure solutions tailored to the needs of government and defence sector clients.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of Azure environments.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their strategic objectives.
- Implement and manage Azure AD, including role-based access control and identity management.
- Automate deployment processes using tools such as Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and ARM templates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing exceptional support to clients.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of infrastructure configurations and procedures.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in Azure infrastructure engineering and administration.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and security.
- Proficiency in Azure AD and identity management.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using ARM templates, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or other relevant languages.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with compliance and security standards relevant to government and defence sectors.
