Senior Rust Developer in PORTUGAL

At Neon Labs, we are building a high-performance, open source platform for launching decentralized applications on the Solana blockchain using the same programming languages and developer tooling as Ethereum. Ethereum developers can scale performance and access new liquidity without significant code changes, or build scalable applications from day one.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a skilled Engineer with a solid foundation in low-level development, particularly in Rust, and extensive experience in average-level languages like C++ (6+ years). The ideal candidate will excel in building intricate systems with multiple components and possess a proven track record of successfully bringing projects from concept to production ("Go-To-Production" experience).

Your Responsibilities

Main Tasks (60-70%):

- Finding exceptional solutions for the Neon architecture which hasn't any analogies in the web3 world.

- Finding the unique combination of existing algorithms or propose new approaches to improve the current project to affect on the business goals.

- Deep research of blockchain architectures to find the new way to enhance the Neon platform.

Addition Task (30-40%):

- Solve not usual problems from the clients side during integration our platform with ETH ecosystem.

- Simplify difficult things. Find easy solution to complex problems.

Skills, Nice to have and Strong Plus

• Demonstrate proficiency in average-level languages such as C++, leveraging experience to architect and develop complex systems.
• Utilize expertise in low-level development, especially Rust, to contribute to the creation of robust and scalable systems.
• Lead the design and implementation of intricate systems, ensuring seamless integration of various components.
• "Go-To-Production" experience.
• Translate theoretical concepts into practical solutions, staying abreast of the latest technological advancements.
• Display a scientific mindset, continuously exploring innovative approaches to tackle complex challenges through rigorous experimentation.
• Analyze research papers, discerning trade-offs, and proposing enhanced solutions to refine core blockchain protocols.
• Familiarity with GNU/Linux and Python is advantageous.
