Data Scientist - Applied Modeling and Feature Engineering

An AI startup backed by 8VC and NBA Investments is hiring a Data Scientist to own the applied modelling and feature engineering behind a consumer graph covering 270M+ Americans. Clients include the NBA, Capital One, and the Miami Dolphins.

This is not a notebook role. You'll be building and deploying probabilistic models (income, wealth, affinity estimation) and feature engineering pipelines at terabyte scale — end to end, in production.

You'll need:

• 2-10 years applied DS experience with production deployment

• Strong Python and SQL
• Experience with data pipelines (dbt, Dagster, Airflow, or similar)
• Background from a high talent bar environment — quant fund, top-tier tech, or a top-10 PhD program
• Degree from a top-30 university in a quantitative field

• You build ML infra but don't do hands-on modelling
