What we're looking for:
We're on the lookout for an
Experienced Product Owner to join our growing team. This role can be based anywhere in New Zealand. We are looking for someone with
Energy Experience.
As a key member of the Product team at Flux you will:
- Contribute to Flux's success through an understanding of the customer, the customer problems we are looking to solve, and how solving those problems contributes to our customer's commercial success
- Become an expert in your area of the product and global energy retail, sharing your knowledge openly and generously
- Work with the product team to articulate the product goals and how they ladder up to the product strategy and company strategy
- Be passionate about the product practice, constantly growing and developing your product leadership skills. Contribute to the growth of the product practice at Flux.
- Role-model Flux values, behaviours and the entrepreneurial mindset to seize opportunities or remove hurdles creatively and systematically
- Have an eye for detail and workflows as this product owner will work on Flux's area of the product that covers market and network interactions
Key Responsibilities:
- Use insights from quantitative and qualitative data to drive your decision making
- Guide your team to understand the 'why' and 'what' of the work
- Prepare, and set direction for product planning and prioritisation, hold review and retrospective sessions with your team, and work across the Flux organisation to keep your initiatives on track
- Be a servant leader to the delivery teams you work with
- Constantly seek to ensure that your work delivers value to Flux and our customers
- Identify, quantify and manage risks; driving towards prevention over mitigation
- Steer adaptations in scope, timeline or budget through creating transparency, and lead the decision making process with stakeholders when alternative solution options are needed
- Hold frequent product demos with internal and external stakeholders
- Support product launches by working with product marketing, customer success, and other team members land why and how our customers can use new capabilities
- Keep challenging yourself and others to deliver the best possible result
What you'll bring
The qualifications, experience, and expertise you bring to this position include:
- Significant work experience as a software Product Owner (or a closely related role)
- Strong understanding of product development and product principles, practices and tools
- Conversant in software development with a solid understanding of SaaS best-practice
- An ability to quickly navigate between the high level strategic perspective and diving into the details to solve current problems
- The ability to quickly comprehend and identify what is important paired with an attention to detail and an eye for quality
- Ambitious, with a will to move forward, make a difference and have impact
- Energy Industry experience preferred
