Our client, a governmental body in the UAE, is looking for a full-time, permanent, on-site Data Scientist in Abu Dhabi to support them on their project.
Under general direction, Data Scientist is primarily responsible to mine, clean, model, and interpret data to deliver that business insight to client's business users through relevant dashboards and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Modeling:
- Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to understand business users' needs.
- Research and develop innovative statistical models using advanced Machine Learning, NLP, and AI technologies.
- Design and implement end-to-end machine learning production pipelines.
- Enable smarter business processes through advanced analytics solutions.
Data Strategy and Experimentation:
- Identify and integrate new datasets to leverage the client's business capabilities.
- Execute analytical experiments to solve organizational problems.
- Collect and mine large structured and unstructured datasets.
Algorithm and Model Development:
- Utilize advanced algorithms and models to mine big data stores.
- Perform data and error analysis to improve models.
- Develop advanced and accurate prediction algorithms with clear business objectives.
Implementation and Communication:
- Implement advanced analytical models into production.
- Communicate analytic solutions to stakeholders and implement system improvements as needed.
Generic Accountabilities:
- Supervision: Plan and coordinate activities, train and develop staff.
- Budgets: Provide input for budget preparation and highlight significant variances.
- Policies and Procedures: Implement department policies, processes, and standards.
- Performance Management: Contribute to the achievement of performance objectives.
- Innovation and Improvement: Design and implement tools and techniques for process improvement.
- HSE and Sustainability: Comply with relevant HSE policies and guidelines.
- Reports: Provide inputs and prepare progress reports
Professional background
Education: Bachelor’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 7+ years in data science.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in data mining, advanced statistical analysis, and machine learning in Python.
- Extensive experience with SQL, Python, and other programming languages.
- Familiarity with Spark, Pandas, TensorFlow, Analysis Services, GitLab.

Additional information:
The position is on-site in Abu Dhabi, and the client covers relocation expenses, visa, housing allowance, yearly bonuses, and provides support throughout the entire process. The salary package is negotiable and will depend on your current salary. According to UAE law, the new salary can increase by 20-25%.
