Lead Data Analytics Engineer - AI Agent Telemetry

About the role:

Open Ingress is building the foundational infrastructure that enables AI agents to seamlessly interact with the modern web. We bridge the gap between complex human interfaces and machine-operable workflows, ensuring that agentic software can navigate, understand, and execute tasks across the digital ecosystem with unprecedented reliability.

You will serve as the technical anchor for our data analytics function, collaborating directly with executive leadership, engineering, and AI research teams. You will define the long-term vision for our product telemetry, architect the master data strategies that capture complex agent behaviors, and lead the cross-functional effort to build industry-defining evaluation benchmarks for agentic reliability.

What you'll do:

• Define Technical Analytics Strategy: Champion the long-term architecture for Open Ingress's data analytics, establishing frameworks for tracking, modeling, and understanding millions of complex, multi-step AI agent sessions.

• Lead Evaluation & Benchmarking Initiatives: Spearhead the creation of scalable, company-wide metrics and evaluation systems to accurately diagnose agent failure modes, web parsing degradation, and behavioral anomalies.
• Drive Executive & Product Strategy: Act as the principal data advisor to the founding and product teams, translating massive, unstructured telemetry data into high-stakes product requirements, strategic roadmaps, and business-critical insights.
• Mentor and Establish Best Practices: Set the bar for technical excellence by defining data governance, optimizing our analytics infrastructure, establishing rigorous code standards for Python/SQL pipelines, and mentoring senior peers.

What we're looking for:

• Proven Technical Leadership: Extensive experience (7+ years preferred) leading data analytics or data engineering initiatives, with a track record of architecting data models from scratch in highly complex tech environments.
• Expert Data Engineering & Analysis Skills: Mastery of SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark) with deep experience wrangling massive, distributed, and highly unstructured system logs, telemetry traces, or event streams.
• System Architecture & Web Fluency: A profound understanding of how modern web applications are built—including DOM structures, heavy Javascript rendering, custom API frameworks, and how browser automation tools record execution data.
• Passion for the AI Horizon: A genuine interest in AI agents, LLM telemetry, agentic web browsing, and a desire to pioneer the data frameworks that will evaluate the future of human-machine interfaces.
