About The Role

We are seeking a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for developing and maintaining cross-application frameworks that serve a diverse ecosystem within Palantir. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing interfaces that facilitate real-time data synchronization, seamless application integration, and intuitive user experiences across multiple platforms. Your work will involve building robust APIs, leveraging core web technologies such as Broadcast Channels, Service Workers, and Local Storage, and extending functionalities through Electron-based desktop applications. Success in this position requires a blend of technical expertise and a strong user-centric mindset, as you will craft solutions that feel natural and responsive regardless of the number of applications a user interacts with simultaneously. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, and help shape the future of Palantir’s application ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of frontend software engineering experience
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong understanding of web technologies and browser APIs
• Knowledge of system design, algorithms, and performance optimization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cross-application frontend frameworks that enable real-time data sharing and user interactions
• Implement APIs and client-side integrations utilizing web standards such as Broadcast Channels, Service Workers, and Local Storage
• Contribute to the development of Electron applications to extend workflows through desktop-specific capabilities like IPC APIs
• Collaborate with product teams, UX designers, and backend engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal user experiences
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and testing to uphold high standards of quality and performance
• Continually learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and best practices to improve platform capabilities
• Help define and refine UX concepts, ensuring interactions are intuitive, native-feeling, and accessible
