Graduate Software Engineer – JavaScript & Python

Better Placed Technology has partnered with a Microsoft backed stealth business founded in Silicon valley as they begin hiring their UK based team.
The founding team US team boasts alumni from the likes of Stanford, Berkley and MIT and they’re seeking a similar calibre in the UK. They’re working on cutting edge technologies that are revolutionizing the AI landscape. This role is fully remote, but it would be good if you are open to travelling to Silicon Valley 1-2 times per year for collaboration.
The Job
As part of their hiring strategy they are seeking four high calibre graduate full stack engineers (JavaScript/ Python). You'll have a passion for software engineering and be a recent graduate from a top university. (extra points if you’ve interned or have 1+ year experience working in AI / LLM’s) Any interesting personal projects that you can talk through would also be great.
You will be involved in creating synthetic data tools, working with Large Language Models (LLM’s), integrating with API’s and building products for enterprise customers.
Required Skills and Experience:
● Proficient in Python; experience with PyTorch is a bonus.
● Strong expertise in JavaScript, including React, Next.js, and Node.js.
● Experience working with APIs and integrating third-party services.
● A natural problem solver with attention to detail.
● Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively.
Day to Day
● Develop and maintain synthetic data tools to support AI model training and
evaluation.
● Work on large language models (LLMs) and contribute to their improvement and
deployment.
● Integrate with various APIs to enhance product functionality.
● Build and enhance products for enterprise customers, ensuring high performance
and reliability.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Nice to have Qualifications / Experience:
● Experience with synthetic data generation and usage.
● Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and their applications.
● Prior experience working with enterprise customers.
