Senior Graphic & Web Designer

Job Summary:

The Senior Graphic & Web Designer is an experienced creative professional with expertise in both digital and print media who can translate wireframe, written and verbal direction into high-quality visual solutions. This role works closely with software, marketing, research, and editorial professionals to ensure websites, publications and digital assets are produced accurately and align with company brand standards.

This position also serves as a key contributor to UX/UI strategy, web product design, project coordination, and collaboration with external creative partners to ensure all digital initiatives are delivered effectively, on time, and in alignment with company objectives.

Tasks may include presenting design concepts to leadership, organizing content within a proprietary CMS, asset procurement, photo research, product mockups, optimization, and quality assurance.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

May be called upon to provide design leadership and decision-making support when the Creative Lead is unavailable.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from concept through completion while balancing multiple priorities and adhering to strict deadlines
  • Understand, maintain, and evolve company and client brand guidelines, design systems, and style standards
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance and maintain the Best Lawyers website and other digital products
  • Create responsive web designs, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs using Figma and related tools
  • Lead UX/UI initiatives for web experiences, including user flows, site architecture, accessibility, usability improvements, and responsive design best practices
  • Conduct user experience reviews and incorporate user feedback, analytics, and testing insights into website improvements and design recommendations
  • Partner with software, marketing, editorial, and research teams to translate design concepts into development-ready specifications and polished deliverables
  • Develop editorial layouts, marketing collateral, website assets, infographics, social media campaigns, and other branded visual materials
  • Prepare final production-ready files for both print and digital publications
  • Maintain organized workflows for proprietary deliverables, digital assets, and project documentation
  • Serve as project lead for design initiatives by managing timelines, milestones, approvals, deliverables, and stakeholder communications across multiple concurrent projects
  • Coordinate with external vendors, freelancers, agencies, photographers, illustrators, and other creative partners to ensure work is delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with brand standards
  • Review and provide feedback on work produced by external creative partners to ensure quality, consistency, and successful implementation
  • Facilitate project kickoffs, creative briefs, and stakeholder review meetings to align objectives, timelines, and expectations
  • Provide guidance and design support to junior creative team members as needed
  • Maintain clear, proactive communication in a fully remote work environment, including responsiveness via company communication channels, punctual attendance at meetings, and consistent follow-through on assigned tasks and deadlines

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Expert proficiency in Figma
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, video production, and AI experimentation
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, information architecture, accessibility, responsive design, and user-centered design methodologies
  • Experience creating user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and design systems
  • Demonstrated project management experience using tools such as Asana and Azure DevOps
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced remote environment
  • Experience collaborating with external agencies, freelancers, printers, and other vendors
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality assurance across web and print platforms
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate design rationale, project updates, and creative direction to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to receive, apply, and respond professionally to constructive feedback from peers, stakeholders, and clients

Education and Experience:

  • 7+ years in professional commercial design, preferably with digital discipline
  • BA or BFA in Design, Marketing or related discipline

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
