What we're looking for:

• 8+ years in Data, AI, or Machine Learning Engineering, with a background in architecture and technical leadership
• 3+ years designing ML platforms or AI architecture at scale
• Strong hands-on skills with Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and SQL
• Solid grip on MLOps (CI/CD for ML, model versioning, governance, automated retraining, drift, observability), the full ML lifecycle, distributed ML systems, feature engineering and pipelines, and model deployment patterns
• Experience with cloud platforms (ideally AWS; Azure or GCP also welcome) and deploying ML models into production
• Strong knowledge of data architecture, scalable ETL/ELT patterns, and orchestration frameworks such as Apache Airflow
• Fluency in English (at least a B2 level)

Nice to have:

• Hands-on with modern AI capabilities: LLMs, vector databases, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents

Important:

This position is full-remote based in Portugal. Candidates should be based in Portugal to be considered. EU candidates are welcome if open to relocate in Portugal.
