AI Engineer for Antifraud Operations

In November 2023, we launched a new office in Cyprus to develop in-house solutions for risk management, anti-fraud operations and cybersecurity. This team focuses on modern architectures, high-load systems, and cutting-edge machine learning technologies.

Job Overview

We are looking for an AI Engineer focused on building production-grade AI agents and automation systems for antifraud operations, analytical research and internal development workflows.

This role is not focused on experimental prototypes or demo applications. The primary objective is to design and deliver scalable, reliable, high-load AI systems that operate in real production environments and directly improve operational efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

Development & Deployment Automation

• Automate software development and deployment processes using AI-assisted tooling
• Build internal AI copilots for :
• SQL generation
• code review
• documentation generation
• infrastructure automation
• CI/CD assistance
• Optimize engineering productivity through AI Driven workflows

Fraud Analytics Acceleration

• Develop AI-assisted systems to speed up:
• fraud research
• behavioral analysis
• feature exploration
• fraud rule hypothesis generation

• model validation
• Build tooling that enables analysts to rapidly test and iterate anti-fraud ideas

Production Engineering

• Convert AI prototypes into production-ready services
• Design systems capable of operating under:
• high concurrency
• large-scale datasets
• low-latency requirements
• continuous streaming workloads
• Implement:
• monitoring
• observability
• retry and fallback mechanisms
• scalability optimisation

Key Requirements

• Strong Python engineering skills
• Experience building backend production systems
• Experience with LLMs and AI agent frameworks Strong understanding of distributed and high-load systems
• SQL expertise and experience with analytical databases
• Experience with API integrations and event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud environments

Good to Have

• Experience in antifraud, risk management, fintech, trading, payments, or cybersecurity
• Experience with streaming systems or real-time data processing
• Experience with analytical databases such as Clickhouse, BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar
• Experience building internal developer tools or AI copilots
• Experience taking AI solutions from prototype to production
• Understanding of monitoring, observability and production incident handling
• English B2 (C1 highly advantageous)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Python/backend engineering
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, or AI automation systems
• Experience building production-ready systems
