Senior Test Automation Engineer in PHILIPPINES

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our Engineering Team.

This is 100% remote role out of the Philippines, and will report directly into the Head of Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Understand the scope and requirements for features being delivered by working directly with Product Managers & Engineering team
• Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure high software quality.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to identify test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Design, implement and maintain automated system tests using industry-standard testing frameworks.
• Maintain and write new manual test cases for web and native mobile apps to cover core feature requirements.
• Regression test web and native mobile applications to ensure they are still functioning as expected
• Participate in product design reviews, providing input on potential quality issues.
• Investigate and reproduce reported defects and work closely with engineers to resolve them.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated with industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to software testing.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar role, for a SaaS product
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Experience in automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, WebDriver or similar.
• Proven ability to design and implement automated system tests using tools such as CypressJs and Maestro.
• Ability to write cross-platform tests, i.e. system tests that work across mobile devices as well as web applications.
• Knowledge of BDD and experience with tools such as Gherkin.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as PHP and Python.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent) and/or significant industry experience
