Senior Power BI Developer

We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer for a 100% Remote, 4 month +, 1099 contract

No 3rd Party C2Cs Please.

Location: Colombia, South America (work remote supporting US based client/project)

Employment Type: Contract Work, 40 hours weekly

100% Requirement: Must have good verbal & written communication (English)

Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer to completely rewrite and modernize a complex Map Report that executives use for strategic marketing and planning purposes. The current report is slow, lacks desired data, and poor UI/UX. The goal is to consolidate multiple reports into a single, high-performance, interactive dashboard that incorporates new data. Must have commitment to documentation.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of advanced Power BI development skills, including data visualization, performance tuning, and UX optimization.
• Expertise with SSAS (SQL Server Analytical Services)
• Solid SSIS and Python skills for ETL development in addition to the report generation/creation (moving from SSIS to python for the ELT)
• Strong database engineering skills (data is on-prem SQL Server instances (they want to scrap everything and redesign DB)
• Excellent writing and communication skills for creating clear documentation, collaboration with team members, and troubleshooting with end users.
• Ability to work independently
