We are partnering with a leading enterprise organization to hire a Platform Engineer (AI & Cloud) to help modernize data platforms and scale next-generation AI capabilities in a fully remote environment.
This role is critical to enabling parallel AI deployments, accelerating CI/CD automation, and building the foundational infrastructure that powers enterprise-scale AI systems.
Location & Schedule:
- 100% Remote (U.S.-based preferred; not limited to Illinois)
- Standard business hours (CST collaboration preferred)
- No regular travel required
Role Overview:
This Platform Engineer will design and build scalable AI-enabled platforms, modernize cloud-native infrastructure, and support enterprise AI workloads. You’ll work across AWS, DevOps, and Kubernetes ecosystems to implement robust CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and production-grade machine learning systems. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native platforms and distributed systems
- Develop and optimize AI/ML platforms including LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic AI systems
- Automate CI/CD pipelines and implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
- Build and manage Kubernetes-based environments, including cluster lifecycle and deployments
- Develop inference-serving platforms for AI and deep learning applications
- Create reusable internal tools, SDKs, and shared services for engineering teams
- Establish best practices for deployment, monitoring, observability, and incident response
- Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, ML engineers, and platform teams
- Drive platform modernization and architecture initiatives
- Ensure secure authentication/authorization (SSO, OAuth2, OIDC, etc.)

Required Qualifications:
- 3–8 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Data Engineering
- Strong AWS experience (cloud-native infrastructure, services, deployments)
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform required)
- Solid Kubernetes experience (deployment, scaling, orchestration)
- Proven experience working with AI/ML systems or AI-enabled platforms
- Strong programming skills in Python (additional languages a plus)
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industries
- Exposure to AWS SageMaker or similar ML platforms
- Familiarity with multi-agent AI systems or vector databases
- Experience with languages such as Go, Rust, Node.js, or C/C++
- Understanding of DevSecOps best practices
