Advisory-focused role supporting large-scale Active Directory migration and transformation initiatives within OT and manufacturing environments. The position focuses on assessing, planning, and guiding Active Directory modernization programmes while ensuring security, compliance, and manufacturing continuity. The role acts as a senior SME working closely with OT, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and site teams to support strategic AD transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- provide SME and advisory support for Active Directory migration and transformation programmes in OT environments,
- assess existing Active Directory environments and define recommendations for modernization and future-state architecture,
- review OT domains, domain controllers, GPOs, DNS, authentication mechanisms, and OU structures to support migration readiness,
- evaluate migration strategies, risks, dependencies, and remediation plans across complex AD environments,
- support planning and execution of domain consolidation, domain upgrades, and Active Directory transformation initiatives,
- advise on Active Directory architecture, security, and operational improvements throughout migration programmes,
- support infrastructure modernization initiatives involving Active Directory, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Local), and OT environments,
- review privileged access models and authentication processes to ensure secure migration outcomes,
- provide guidance on Active Directory hardening, remediation, and compliance requirements,
- support troubleshooting related to AD, DNS, replication, authentication, and migration activities,
- collaborate with OT, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and site teams to align migration activities with operational requirements,
- contribute to technical decision-making, architecture reviews, and stakeholder discussions,
- support audit, compliance, and risk management activities related to Active Directory transformation programmes,
- balance cybersecurity requirements with manufacturing continuity and operational constraints,
- support standardization and continuous improvement of OT Active Directory services and governance.

Requirements:
- strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory in large enterprise environments,
- proven experience in large-scale Active Directory migration, transformation, consolidation, or modernization programmes,
- experience acting as an SME, consultant, architect, or technical lead within Active Directory migration projects,
- experience assessing migration readiness, technical dependencies, risks, and remediation activities,
- strong knowledge of domain controllers, GPOs, DNS, OU structures, trusts, replication, and authentication services,
- experience with multi-domain and multi-forest Active Directory environments,
- experience with Windows Server infrastructure supporting enterprise Active Directory services,
- understanding of hybrid identity concepts and Active Directory modernization initiatives,
- background in OT, industrial, manufacturing, or operational technology environments,
- experience supporting infrastructure transformation projects involving VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Local, or similar platforms,
- understanding of Active Directory usage in production-critical and operational systems,
- knowledge of OT cybersecurity principles and secure Active Directory operations,
- ability to analyse complex technical environments and provide risk-based recommendations,
- strong stakeholder management and communication skills,
- ability to work in an advisory capacity without direct operational ownership,
- experience within regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure is highly desirable,
- familiarity with IEC 62443, NIST, or similar OT cybersecurity frameworks is preferred,
- exposure to segmented OT networks and industrial governance models is an advantage.
