Dorado Games, makers of immersive and competitive strategy titles, are looking for a Frontend Developer to develop the frontend for new game features across their new line-up of online games and also some unannounced titles.
You'll be part of a highly professional team who collaborate closely, seeking and giving support whenever required to allow their games to come together on schedule. You'll use a blend of proven and new tech with Dorado's frontend being based on HTML5 / SASS / WebGL /JS & TypeScript / VueJS stack, deployed to different kinds of platforms like desktop browser, Steam, iOS and Android.
Dorado Games are a well-established studio based on Malta, and proud owners of a beachside studio! Their close team of developers work across teams on the studio's portfolio of online strategy titles, including the military themed online RTS game Conflict of Nations: World War 3.
Your Responsibilities...
Developing the frontend for new game features and properly integrating them with the backend
Writing and maintaining high-quality, scalable and maintainable code, adhering to international coding standards and best practices
Writing and maintaining detailed technical design and software documentation
Collaborating closely with all departments, sister companies, external companies and key members to create and deliver an exceptional and involving online game play experience
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role...
3 or more years' experience in a frontend role in the games industry
Shipped or live development experience on one or more commercial products or games
Skilled in HTML5/CSS3/SASS, JavaScript/TypeScript and VueJS or other Frontend Frameworks (and able to provide references to relevant projects)
Ability to develop and implement accurately based on provided UI/UX mock-ups based on Figma designs
Happy to drive a given task forward and in line with project standards whilst communicating with the rest of the team
Ability to produce high-quality, well documented and easily extendable code that meets the newest industry standards
Good problem solving skills and comfortable asking for and giving assistance when needed
Ability to articulate and document technical designs clearly and analytically
Ability to communicate effectively and objectively in English
Highly desirable skills or experience...
Knowledge of multiplayer/PvP/online game development practices
Familiarity with agile software development and scrum-based working environments
Backend development experience with Java/PHP/MySQL
