Marketing Manager


Fully Remote (UK-based) | £40,000 to £45,000 + bonus, incentives and benefits | Permanent, full-time


Own the marketing function. Build the brand. Report straight to the CEO.


This is a rare one. A senior, standalone marketing role where you are not buried in a department or chasing sign-off through five layers. You will be the architect of the entire external presence for a boutique, expert-led consultancy in the life sciences space, working directly with the founder to turn deep technical expertise into a brand that buyers trust.

A global GxP quality assurance and regulatory compliance consultancy, partnering with pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device organisations on auditing, inspection readiness, regulatory advisory and mock inspections. The role


You will own marketing end to end: strategy through to hands-on delivery. One day you are shaping the annual plan and budget with the CEO, the next you are writing a white paper, briefing a designer, or building a LinkedIn campaign that actually generates pipeline.


You will:

  • Set and run the marketing strategy, budget and KPIs, tied directly to revenue and business development goals
  • Own the brand: messaging, positioning and a consistent voice that is assertive, evidence-led and commercially sharp
  • Drive digital across website, SEO, email, automation and social, with LinkedIn front and centre
  • Lead content and thought leadership: articles, white papers, case studies, webinars and regulatory briefings, working with subject matter experts to make technical material compelling
  • Generate and nurture qualified leads, and support BD with proposals, capability decks and sales collateral
  • Plan industry events, conferences and webinars, from abstracts through to follow-up
  • Manage external suppliers (designers, web, PR, agencies) and any junior support


You will operate with real autonomy in a fast-paced, intellectually demanding environment. If you like ownership and dislike bureaucracy, you will feel at home.


What you will bring


Essential:

  • 4 to 5+ years in marketing, ideally in professional services, life sciences, healthcare or another regulated sector
  • A proven track record building and running B2B marketing strategies
  • Strong digital skills across SEO, email, social, content and CMS
  • Experience owning budgets and campaigns
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, lean team
  • Some experience directing at least one person or supplier
  • Sharp writing, strong analytics, clear reporting


Nice to have:


  • Background in pharma, biotech, life sciences or another regulated industry
  • Familiarity with GxP (GCP, GVP, GLP, GCLP, GMP, GDP) and regulatory compliance
