About the Role


We are seeking a senior Telecommunications Engineering Specialist to support Federal Edge deployments, SIP interconnection engineering, and E-911 call routing initiatives tied to Army Voice Modernization programs. This is a mission-critical role involving federal voice infrastructure, public safety answering points (PSAPs), and secure telecommunications networks.


What You'll Do

  • Support deployment and integration of Ribbon Federal Edge gateways
  • Design and support SIP interconnection engineering and policy routing
  • Analyze and troubleshoot E-911/NG911 call flow issues
  • Conduct deployment validation and readiness assessments
  • Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Support connectivity between Federal Edge, VISP, and Army PSAP environments
  • Coordinate technical activities related to E-911 routing requirements
  • Participate in interoperability testing and deployment activities
  • Provide engineering support, issue tracking, and technical recommendations


What We're Looking For

✅ Active Secret Security Clearance — Required

✅ 10+ years of Telecommunications Engineering experience

✅ 5+ years of VoIP / SIP Engineering experience

✅ Hands-on experience with Ribbon Communications / Sonus / Genband platforms

✅ Session Border Controller (SBC) experience

✅ SIP Signaling, SIP Interconnects, and SIP Policy Routing

✅ E-911 / NG911 systems and PSAP integration

✅ Emergency call routing experience

✅ Wireshark and SIP packet analysis proficiency

✅ Ability to work fully onsite in Winchester, VA (Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM ET)


Preferred Qualifications

  • DISA VISP experience
  • Army VMOD (Voice Modernization) experience
  • NG911 / Public Safety Communications background
  • PSAP interconnection expertise
  • Cisco Certifications (CCNP and/or CCIE)
  • Federal telecommunications modernization experience
  • Prior support of military or government voice infrastructure
