Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Temporary IT Manager to support ongoing IT operations, vendor coordination, project execution, and reporting initiatives. This is a remote contract position supporting a multi-site enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal business teams and external technology vendors.

Candidates located in the Midwest region (Arkansas, Missouri, or Kansas preferred) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Details

Job Title: Temporary IT Manager

Location: Remote (United States)

Preferred Location: Arkansas, Missouri, or Kansas

Employment Type: Contract / Temporary 6 months to a 1year

Travel: Minimal to none

Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizen

Screening Requirements: Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external technology vendors.

• Track, manage, and follow up on vendor deliverables, escalations, and project milestones.

• Prepare, compile, and distribute monthly KPI and performance reports across multiple IT functional areas.

• Coordinate project schedules and timelines with business leaders, IT teams, and third-party vendors.

• Facilitate project meetings and document meeting minutes, key decisions, action items, and follow-up tasks.

• Monitor project progress and communicate status updates to stakeholders.

• Assist with prioritization and coordination of multiple concurrent IT initiatives.

• Support operational reporting and continuous improvement efforts.

• Ensure projects and operational activities remain aligned with business objectives and deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

• 3+ years of experience in IT operations, IT project coordination, project management, or IT leadership roles.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience coordinating activities among multiple stakeholders and vendors.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

• Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise IT operations.

• Experience with enterprise network infrastructure implementations, upgrades, or deployments.

• Formal project management experience managing IT initiatives and cross-functional teams.

• Experience working within distributed or remote teams.

• Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments.

• Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) processes and best practices.

• PMP, CAPM, Agile, Scrum, or related project management certifications are a plus.
