Role Snapshot

A high-impact Frontend Platform Engineer role across robotics, UAV and autonomous systems. You will work on real-time, operator-facing platforms covering mission planning, live maps, telemetry, video interfaces, geolocation and device management.

The key focus is frontend platform architecture: TypeScript, Vue, pnpm workspaces, reusable packages, clean package boundaries and scalable multi-application frontend systems.

Key Areas of Ownership

• Frontend architecture across multiple applications, shared packages and reusable platform capabilities. • Clear package boundaries between app logic, feature modules, shared UI, composables and platform code.

• TypeScript/Vue development for operational dashboards, mission planning, maps, telemetry, video and device control.

• Real-time operator interfaces using WebSockets, event-driven data flows and frequently updated mission data. • Map-heavy workflows including geolocation, layers, zones, waypoints, device markers and mission visualisation. • Reusable UI components, themes, controls, layouts, package exports and pnpm workspace practices.

Core Skills Needed

• Strong TypeScript frontend engineering with Vue, ideally Vue 3 and the Composition API.

• Solid component-based development, routing, application state, API/data integration and modern build tooling such as Vite.

• Practical pnpm workspace experience and confidence working with shared frontend packages or monorepo-style structures.

• Experience integrating WebSocket-based data and building reliable real-time or frequently updating user interfaces.

• Exposure to geospatial UI, markers, layers, zones, spatial data, telemetry dashboards or video-heavy browser interfaces.

• Clean, maintainable coding style with testing, linting, type checking, code reviews and clear documentation habits.

Strong Advantages

• Experience owning larger frontend systems with multiple applications, reusable packages and platform standards.

• Knowledge of modular frontend architecture, typed package interfaces, dependency boundaries and feature exports.

• Background in design systems, shared component libraries, reactive programming, observables or event-streamed data.

• Domain exposure to robotics, UAVs, autonomous systems, mission planning, command-and-control, telemetry or device management.

• Low-latency browser video experience, especially WebRTC/RTP-style streaming, overlays or live video monitoring.
