Job Description

Fully Remote | Timezone: EST | Open worldwide

Reports to: Director of Web Operations & Delivery

Search Atlas is a SaaS B2B company building products and services that help businesses improve their performance on Google. We work with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to leading Silicon Valley startups, and we're growing fast.

About the Role

We're looking for a WordPress Developer who's past the basics and ready to own real work. You bring solid technical skills, a sharp eye for detail, and Claude Code is already part of how you work, not something you're just getting started with. You can take a Figma prototype and turn it into a clean, fully responsive build independently, whether it's an internal Search Atlas property or a client deliverable. You don't need your hand held through a project, but you know when to ask questions and how to communicate clearly when you do.

If you take pride in your work, move with purpose, and are always looking for smarter ways to build, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Build and Implement

Develop and maintain scalable, performant web solutions using WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Translate Figma prototypes into responsive, production-ready builds for both internal projects and client work. Use Claude Code throughout to move faster and write better code.

Follow and Contribute to Technical Standards

Work within established technical standards and best practices, and actively contribute to improving them over time. You produce clean, maintainable code that holds up under review. You don't ship work you wouldn't put your name on.

Collaborate and Communicate

Work closely with designers and senior developers during Figma handoff to understand project scope, flag questions early, and execute with confidence. Communicate clearly in writing and don't let ambiguity quietly become a problem.

Domain and Infrastructure Support

Support website hosting (Kinsta, WPEngine, etc.) and domain management (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Squarespace) tasks, with a growing understanding of performance, security, and uptime best practices.

Hands-On Development

Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress, Webflow, and Elementor websites from concept to launch, working directly from Figma prototypes to deliver responsive, accurate implementations across internal and client-facing properties.

Optimize for SEO

Implement technical and on-page SEO best practices to support search performance, including site structure, schema markup, and page speed improvements.

Troubleshoot and Grow

Identify and resolve front-end and WordPress issues across browsers and devices. Stay curious. You're always picking up new tools and techniques, and AI tooling is part of that.
