About The Role

Band 4 - salary range $88,641 - $125,141 per annum (plus Super)

Are you a local Tasmanian - or - are you considering relocating to scenic Tasmania?

We are seeking a Cyber Security Risk Analyst to join our growing Cyber Security team in this newly created role. The Cyber Security Risk Analyst is responsible for assessing and analysing cyber security risks to the business to ensure both Security and Regulatory risk compliance are maintained.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Collaborating with a team of cyber experts to ensure high-level assessments are performed in relation to sourcing and procurement contracts, proposals, RFI and RFQ’s
  • Cyber hygiene - maintaining knowledge and understanding of all current and emerging protocols, standards and rules to provide guidance and advice relating to cyber security best practices with internal stakeholders
  • Driving uplift and innovation for risk and control effectiveness
  • Educate internal stakeholders on standards, systems and protocols

About You

You will bring strong experience in assessing and applying security/risk standards and frameworks (such as ISO 27001, ISO 31000, NIST CSF) and solid experience with Information Security Risk Management (experience with tools such as SAP). This, coupled with your proven ability to influence and negotiate will set you up for success, as you work across a diverse audience of internal stakeholders.

Proven knowledge of security technologies such as IPS, Firewalls, Endpoint Protection, Digital Rights Management, Encryption and SIEM is essential to the role, and having experience with the Australian Energy Sector Cyber Security Framework (AESCSF) will put you ahead of others.

  • Commercial astuteness and be driven by achieving results
  • A strategic mindset and the ability to think quickly and ‘outside the box’
  • Strong data analytics and reporting skills
