  • Lead and mentor a small team of embedded software engineers from day one
  • Work closely with BSP, OS, security, CI and product teams to shape long-term platform direction
  • Understand customer adoption challenges and translate them into better architecture, tooling and workflows
  • Support software enablement strategy for new AI-capable embedded hardware platforms
  • Engage with external ecosystem partners, customers and technical communities
  • Represent the business through technical writing, webinars and customer-facing technical discussions

Key requirements:

  • Strong Embedded Linux software and device engineering background (C/C++)
  • Experience operating as a technical lead, software architect or senior technical authority
  • Deep practical experience with Yocto
  • Strong knowledge of BSPs, Linux kernel configuration, bootloaders and device-driver integration
  • Experience with Linux upstreaming or open-source contribution workflows
  • Customer-facing technical experience and strong communication skills
  • Experience mentoring, leading or coaching embedded software engineers

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Edge AI hardware or AI-enabled embedded platforms
  • Background in industrial, medical, robotics, automotive or long-lifecycle embedded products
  • Experience with embedded security, connectivity or maintainability challenges
  • Technical writing, conference speaking, webinars or developer community engagement
  • Experience working with semiconductor ecosystems such as NXP, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments or Synaptics

This is a high-impact opportunity to influence the future direction of an embedded Linux platform used by customers building advanced connected and AI-capable devices.
