Role Description
VERIQ is pre-launch and growing fast. This is a founding team HR role. You will build our people function from zero. No playbook exists yet. You will write it.
You will own recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations for a lean, remote-first team. You will partner directly with the founder to define HR policies, manage the employee lifecycle, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. This role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and genuinely cares about building a great team culture from day one.
Salary: 20000-50000 INR/month
What You Will Do
- Own end-to-end recruitment from sourcing to offer for all roles across tech, operations, and growth
- Build and manage onboarding for a remote-first team across India
- Define and implement HR policies, processes, and documentation from scratch
- Manage contract documentation, compliance, and workforce planning
- Support performance management and retention initiatives
- Partner with leadership on people strategy as the company scales
- Coordinate with external partners including legal, payroll, and compliance as needed

What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in a core HR role such as HR Manager or HRBP
- Prior experience in a startup or early-stage company is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of employment law, remote team compliance, and HR best practices
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency with HRIS tools, documentation, and data management
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and move fast
- Relevant experience matters more than formal qualifications
