Job Description
Account Manager — Digital Marketing Agency (Remote, South Africa)
Platform: LinkedIn
Company: Inquivix
Location: South Africa (Remote — Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, or anywhere in SA)
Type: Full-Time
About Inquivix
Inquivix is a Seoul-based digital marketing agency that helps international companies enter the Korean market. We deliver Naver SEO, Kakao advertising, paid media, social media, influencer campaigns, and web development for global brands in hospitality, technology, and consumer products.
We are a fully remote team operating across Southeast Asia and Korea. We are hiring our first South Africa-based team member to own client relationships across our international account portfolio.
The Role
You are the client's primary point of contact at Inquivix. Not a coordinator. Not a scheduler. The person who owns the relationship, leads the conversation, and makes the client feel like they hired the right agency every single month.

Our delivery team handles execution — content, campaigns, SEO, design, development. Your job is making sure the client sees a seamless, confident, professional agency on the other end. You translate internal work into clear client communication. You translate client needs into clear internal direction. You sit at the centre of everything, and nothing client-facing moves without your involvement.
What you own:
- Client calls. You lead bi-weekly and monthly update calls. You set the agenda, present performance, walk through deliverables, field questions, and define next steps. You do not read from a script — you understand the account well enough to speak with authority.
- Client communication. Every status update, report delivery, post-call recap, and proactive update comes from you. Your writing is structured, professional, and clear. You communicate early when things change — you do not surprise clients.
- Expectation management. When timelines shift, when deliverables are delayed, when a campaign underperforms — you communicate it before the client has to ask. Bad news delivered early with a plan is always better than good news delivered late.
- Scope protection. When a client asks for work outside the agreed contract, you recognise it, document it, and follow our change request process. You do not say yes to free work. You do not let scope creep become someone else's problem.
- Report presentation. Our team prepares performance data and report materials. You review them, make sure the story is clear and accurate, and present them to the client in a way that builds confidence and drives decisions.
- Internal coordination. You stay current on every account's status by working closely with our Project Managers and coordinators. You do not need to manage tasks or enforce internal deadlines — that is the delivery team's job. But you need to know what is happening so you can communicate it credibly.
You are the relationship. You are the voice. You are the reason clients stay.
Requirements
- Based in South Africa
- Native or near-native English speaker. This is non-negotiable. You will be on video calls with international executives regularly. Your spoken English must be confident, clear, and professional. Strong accent is fine — unclear communication is not.
- 2+ years in a client-facing role at an agency, consulting firm, SaaS company, or professional services environment. You have managed client relationships independently — not just supported someone else's.
- Experience leading client calls or presentations — running the meeting, not attending it
- Strong written English — structured, proactive, professional emails and reports
- Comfortable managing 5-8 client accounts simultaneously
- Comfortable with digital marketing concepts — you do not need to be a specialist, but you must understand what SEO, paid media, social media, and content marketing mean well enough to discuss campaign performance intelligently

Strong Advantage:
- Agency experience — you understand retainer models, scope management, and the client-agency dynamic
- Experience presenting data, reports, or performance metrics to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in remote, distributed teams across multiple time zones
Working Hours: You will need to overlap with Korea Standard Time (GMT+9) for client calls and team coordination. A shifted schedule (approximately 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM SAST or similar) provides sufficient overlap. Specific hours will be discussed based on account requirements.
